On July 26, 2023, a Youtube video was uploaded by '關鍵時刻', a Taiwan's 'EBC東森新聞' Channel's Program, claiming at the start that "Du Su Rui (Typhoon Doksuri) set off a huge wave and swept a freighter at sea! The captain was thrown away, and the 300,000-ton ship 'shattered the wall' was on the verge of disintegration!" The Youtube video acquired 410K views in 4 days. This story was also promoted on facebook.

The first portion of the video originated from another Youtube video 'Oil Tanker in Hurricane | Heavy Seas in The North Atlantic Ocean' uploaded by 'I Love Sailing' on Aug 16, 2021, the video acquired 9.3M views as of July 30, 2023.
